When I first met Batsheva (our beautiful bride Shier’s mum) we hit it off straight away. Jess the wedding planner from Every Event London made it perfectly clear this wedding was going to be BIG!!!! After I went for a site visit to the fabulous Bicester Heritage Centre to meet Tiggy and her team, I knew for sure this was going to be off the chart. With a 12 week lead time to change an old aircraft hanger into a luxury wedding venue for 460 guests, we had our work cut out!
The Chuppah...oh my the Chuppah...what a sight!
We created explosions of floral at the top of the huge tree like structure using peonies, hydrangeas, eremus, delphiniums, alliums and masses of seasonal foliage. To the base of the Chuppah were gardens of flowers to compliment the displays above. It was absolutely stunning and such a magnificent sight for the eyes. The aisle was lined with hundreds of floating candles in cylinder vases and masses of lilac and blush rose petals sitting on a white carpet...and this was just the entrance!!!
As the space was so ginormous sitting centrally in the raised bar we placed a 6m tall bespoke tree which Jason built. Surrounding it's base we created a flowering garden of flowers and foliage to compliment the styling of the hanger.
Hanging from the overgrown branches of the tree, we placed vintage lanterns of candles on twine to nestle in amongst the flowers. Shier’s bridal bouquet was just beautiful and a treat to make as it was so colourful. She was such an easy going bride as she trusted us implicitly with everything. Her excitement was infectious on the day as she was so excited to see us arrive with her flowers.
Food Story London catered the wedding and provided beautiful grey linen, understated charger plates and glasses on the tables which held low arrangements of coral peonies, roses, delphiniums, clematis and lisianthus to name a few of the blooms, all surrounded by masses of candles in pewter and glass votive holders.
Over the 47 guest tables we hung 3 giant chandeliers at varying heights which looked incredible from every angle of the room. The huge florals sat in line with the bar and the Chuppah and looked amazing against the raw industrial feel of the metal beams of the hanger.
As the space was so vast areas of interest were created around the hanger using a whopping 150 silver birch trees, 100s of candles, and other props that held significance to the wedding style.
Great Hire provided beautiful soft seating and trendy tables which looked so luxurious against the hard concrete floor, softened with delicate bud vases filled with popping colourful blooms and tea lights.
The Escort Card Table was beautiful, a wall of dark foliage and flower heads, and vases filled with floating candles - laid on a moss covered table - surrounded the name cards for the guests who had travelled from all over the World to join in on this huge celebration.

To Cindy & Norman (Xander's Mum and Dad):
I’m so happy we were able to give the wow factor to you and your guests that you wanted from the very beginning of our conversations. The Chuppah excelled even my wildest dreams :)
