Henley On Thames
The most dreamy of Autumn weddings where candlelight was King!!! When I first started creating luxury weddings and events, planner Bruce Russell was at the top of my list to work with...one day! When Bruce and his gorgeous assistant Maddie invited me for lunch to discuss florals for a wedding in November of last year you could have knocked me over!!
Jumping at the chance we met up and discussed the brief - instantly I fell in love with the color palette and initial styling ideas that the bride had shared. A site visit was arranged to the families home in Henley on Thames where the wedding was taking place. At this point I still hadn’t met the bride and groom but was introduced to the grooms mum Mary Jane and her taxidermy tiger!! As you can imagine Mary Jane and I hit it off instantly with a shared love of fluff and taxidermy it was a match made in heaven!
The eve of the wedding arrived and set up began in the huge marquee - foliage chandeliers were installed across the glass roof which would float above the guest tables at various heights.
The cut crystal chandeliers were positioned between the foliage chandeliers under the watchful eye of Garth Kelly - designer - and a bloody good one too! Huge hold candelabras adorned with twists of flowers dressed some of the tables.
The tables were dressed with vases filled with autumnal blooms and textures foliages locally sourced to us in Hertfordshire.
A floral bar was created using panels of rich autumnal colored flowers and leopard print fabric - which looked so cool in the reception space.
This wedding was fabulous from start to finish - a dream team to work with and the end result was simply breathtaking.
My absolute fav of 2018 x
Thank you Bruce for entrusting us with this dream job I look forward to the next one!
