wedding
The Berkeley
Knightsbridge
A Saturday night Jewish wedding at The Berkley Hotel in Knightsbridge London and an amazing colour palette for our couple Natasha & Barry. Working with Katy Cresner Events who planned the wedding, I first met Natasha and her Mum Michelle to go through the initial styling ideas and instantly fell in love with Natasha’s attitude of, "I don't want anything cream or pink at my wedding!". As a florist we create what our brides want and dream of, so being given free reign on the flowers and colours was a refreshing change! The rich purples, zesty oranges, deep greens all worked amazingly well in the recently refurbished panelled ballroom.
We created the most stunning Chuppah using hydrangeas, roses, calla lilies and tulips to name a few of the blooms, mixed with textured foliage which stood proudly in the centre of the dance floor. I loved making this Chuppah whilst listening to the uber talented Club Live rehearsing their set prior to the guests coming in, it was a real highlight of the wedding for us, these guys are amazing!!!!
We dressed the 20 tables with a mix of high and low arrangements across the room and masses of candles to add to the night time glow.
Large floral columns framed the ballroom doors to create a wow for the guest inside the room, it was breathtaking. From every spot you could see these giant columns full of birds of paradise and we made sweeping gardens that dressed the floor too, it was a truly magnificent sight and the colours looked divine in the space.
The circular top table held a rounded arrangement with cascades of trailing amaranthus and perfectly formed Vanda orchid heads which we echoed on each place setting. Katy really pulled together an awesome team for Natasha & Barry with Food Story London catering the wedding. It is always a pleasure to work with Rebecca and her team.
In the reception we made a beautiful escort card table to greet the guests full of blooms and candles to compliment the styling in the ballroom...what an entrance :)
Wishing a lifetime of happiness to Natasha and Barry x
Many thanks to Katy Cresner Events and to The Berkeley Hotel, we look forward to working with you both soon.
