The Ginders With Love
shendish manor, hertfordshire
When your friend is getting married it is an exciting time for everyone involved, but when your friend is getting married and you're his florist it is even more exciting! Daniel - aka "Ginger" - and I have been friends for years having worked with his family since opening my 1st shop in 2006. We have built a great working relationship up over that time. Ginger’s family own M.K Ginder & Sons Funeral Directors and we are proud to be their florist of choice.
Choosing a blush pink and white colour scheme, we set out to impress Ginger and Katie’s 120 day guests with a stunning floral arch which we created using peonies, hydrangeas and roses. Originally the ceremony was meant to be taking place outdoors but due to the miserable weather the morning of the wedding the team at the beautiful Shendish Manor Hotel in Apsley opted to hold it in the Old Manor House. We laid the white aisle carpet adorned with rose petals for the couple to walk down and dressed the chairs with simple white damask covers and taffeta sashes that looked classy in a classically decorated room.
Ginger’s brother Adam was toast master for the day, he ushered us guests for a grand reveal of the room we had spent hours dressing. I must admit I began to feel a little nervous! The room looked magnificent! Huge domes of hydrangeas, roses and peonies stood proudly on the white sequin table cloths with plumes of beautiful white delphiniums protruding from the centre of the arrangements...it looked breathtaking!
The top table - one of my favourites to date - was a carpet of massed flowers that looked so so beautiful.
The whole room looked stunning from the ties on the chairs, to the delicate orchids on the napkins, to the huge displays on the tables - I was proud to be able to be part of something so lovely to look at throughout the wedding. The guests loved it too with lots of comments throughout the meal including a special thanks in the speech from Ginger x
Katie's stunning bridal and bridesmaid's bouquets.
I would like to wish Ginger & Katie a huge congratulations and a future together filled with love and happiness.
I hope you enjoyed your day as much as we all did.
Lots of Love,
Bones x
