shopfront styling
the collective by Kari C

When we were approached by Sachin from Think Shaadi to collaborate with a great team of creatives, there was no thinking needed! We accepted the challenge and met up with him along with Kari (The Collective) and Kay (Intricate Creations) to discuss ideas of how to make an impact for the invited guests to their event for Mumbai-based fashion designers JADE who were showcasing - for the first time in the UK - select pieces from their Summer collection, Tribal Princess in the Valley of Flowers and Amoha.
For me, the impact had to be the outside of the shop. Beauchamp Place is such a beautiful road in the heart of Knightsbridge and we had to further attract people to their already lovely chocolate box shop front...how else to do that other than dress the windows with hundreds of stems of gorgeous flowers??!! We came up with the idea of using of subtle peaches, lilacs, powder blues and greens which Kari liked.
We used masses of hydrangeas, alliums, delphiniums, foxgloves, antiriniums, roses, and gladioli. The response from passers by was amazing as people stopped and took pictures of our gorgeous display. They even posed in front of the shop for pictures which was a wonderful sight.

Varna Studios got some amazing pictures of us at work and the details of the hanging logos - produced by Intricate Creations - finished off the opulent creation which we are very proud to have made.
The best compliment for me came from Paula Pryke, a master florist whose work I have followed and admired for years. She commented, "The Chelsea Flower Show has come early to Knightsbridge”, and , "you should be proud of what you've made." - Thank you Paula, we are very proud and your compliment made my day.
