Claridge's
Mayfair, London
We were approached by event planners Ruby J Events last year to meet their gorgeous bride, Vicky for her wedding at the iconic Claridge's Hotel in London this April. Vicky had very specific ideas of the look she wanted to create for her big day, something romantic, glamorous and classic to work with her venue.
We created the most stunning aisle ever!!!! We used hundreds of tea light candles in various holders surrounded by scented rose petals for the guests to walk through to the service which took place in the ballroom. We had the pleasure of standing on the side lines to watch Vicky walk down the aisle.
Once seated on the grey Chantilly chairs, guests were greeted with large displays of gardenia peonies, roses, hydrangeas and scented stocks on the stage which the Ruby J Events team put in place. As Anthony the groom is Jewish, the service took place to live music and the familiar sound of cheers when the smashing of the glass took place. Guests were then ushered into the ballroom reception where they were served with champagne and canapés. That's when our work really began!
Jason, Maja and I worked with Charlotte James and her amazing Claridge's team, and Daisy Ausden from Ruby J Events to turn the ceremony round into the wedding breakfast in just under an hour and a half. The tables were put in place and the florals were moved into position surrounded by more candles to offer a soft amber glow.
We hung glass crystals to the large table arrangements that caught the candlelight beautifully. The low tables held pillar candles that were surrounded with cut crystal vases and tea lights. In these vases we used delicate sweet peas, freesia, and lisianthus along with the larger headed peonies which are stunning at this time of year.
The round top table held a glass chalice of beautiful blush and cream flowers mixed with textured soft foliage including jasmine which is a favourite of mine to work with this year.
Peonies, roses, lilac and sweet peas were some of the flowers featured in the bridal bouquet. It was breathtaking and looked amazing with Vicky's fitted fishtail gown, she really was the most beautiful bride. Maja and I were honoured to see her admire her bridal bouquet as she walked down the candlelit aisle.
Huge Congratulations to Vicky & Anthony and thank you for choosing us to be part of your magnificent day.
Thank you to Ruby J Events, we looked forward to working with you in the near future and thank you to Claridge's, it is always a pleasure.
